Ensure surfaces are clean (can be applied on wet or damp surface, its ideal if the surface is dry)
Apply a layer of masking tape along the perimeter line where Selleys Blockade is to be applied
Cut cartridge tip with a knife or blade and inset into caulking gun
Attach nozzle on cartridge and cut the nozzle tip at 45 degree angle
Apply on needed surface and, smoothen with a scraper or spatula
Once applied, peel of the masking taped along the perimeters for a clean finishing & leave the sealant to dry for at least 6-8 hours
Handy Tips
Wet Surfaces: Keep nozzle as close to surface so the extruding sealant immediately contacts surface. Adhesion will improve overtime when drying (may take additional time to dry)
Not recommended for sealing water containment structures or for permanent water immersion.
For best results in large joints use bond breaking backing material to limit sealant depth.
Blockade may damage some plastics such as styrene foam – test a small area before proceeding.
In cold weather store at room temperature for easier use.
Clean Up
While sealant is still wet, wipe off excess with clean damp cloth or soaked with turpentine
